NEW! Lunch is back!!!                           For us, it's all about the tea! And, with the addition of our new chef, Jennifer, we are now able to offer great lunches to go along with your cuppa.  Some of Jenn's creations include savory egg bakes and unique quiches, gouormet sandwiches and wraps.  All of our salads are made with organic greens and often have fresh, homemade dressings.  A variety of Snacks and an ever changing variety of Scrumptious Homemade Desserts round out our new menu. Still popular are our made-from-scratch drop scones. We also have a variety of specialty drinks including our lavender lemonade (featured in Midwest Living magazine along with our WinterBerry Cream Tea).  You can purchase culinary grade lavender at our Wild Orchid Teas web site, and we'll be sure to include the recipe for lavender lemonade.  We have over 30 exceptional teas on our regular menu, but because we prepare each tea fresh whether hot or iced, you can actually have a pot of any one of our 130+ teas in stock!  Reservations are preferred, especially for groups over 4 people, but if you find yourself in our neighborhood, do stop in and we'll find room for you! 

Bridal/Baby Showers
We have the perfect atmosphere for your bridal or baby shower, if your group isn't too large.  The Tea Room can seat up to 20 and is a perfect place for relaxing the day before the wedding.  Call Elaine to make custom arrangements for your event, and we'll be happy to design the perfect menu for celebrating and relaxing before that special day.

Tea Talks
The owner, Elaine Terman, has gained extensive knowledge about tea, its history, production and harvest, tea leaf grading, types of tea, tea etiquette and superstitions, and the health benefits of tea.  She is happy to speak to your group at your location, or give tea talks in the Tea Room for groups that come in for tea and food service.  Talks can be arranged for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or more.  Call for details and associated fees. 

Children's Birthday Tea Parties
Elaine's is also the perfect place for children's tea parties.  We are happy to work with your individual needs to help you design the perfect menu and fun time for your child's special tea party.  We have two delicious children's caffeine-free teas:  Tutti Fruitty and Teddy Bear Tea (spearmint flavored).  A lavender lemonade is also available at your request.  We suggest dresses, hats, gloves, and good manners, of course, but we have a trunk full of hats, gloves and boas if you don't have your own.  We've added several craft selections at a small additional charge, if you'd like something fun to do during the party.  There is a $25 non refundable room fee, which holds the date for your party and covers our extra clean up time.  Elaine is also happy to talk to children's groups or Brownie groups on proper table manners.

Tea Tastings
We hold a series of tea tastings at the shop throughout the year.  Check out our latest newsletter to find dates and times for any upcoming tastings and other events.  If you'd like to receive our e-mail newsletter, please send us your address and you'll get the latest shop news.  Elaine has also done tastings off site for special events and groups.  We now also do special small group (2 to 20) private tea tastings in the shop at your request.  Call for details and fees associated with special tastings and tea talks.
